As a leader, how you develop people around you determine how successful you will be in achieving your own vision. Leaders that drive teams towards performance improvement must understand that the process of attaining corporate goals require activities to be structured in increasingly difficult, but attainable steps. In other words, people like to be ‘stretched’, but they must also feel that the goals you have set for them are achievable. Coaching, delegating and empowering are good ways of developing and engaging teams to be effective.

 

This Performance Leadership program gives practical guidance on how to equip people with the tools, knowledge, and opportunities they need to develop themselves and become more effective as leaders. Linda Tan-Spicer

Senior Consultant/ Trainer

With over 20 years of experience as a professional trainer, Linda Tan-Spicer has vast experience in both the public and corporate sectors. Through her enthusiastic and innovative approach, she possesses the ability to capture and inspire her audience to learn. Her passion for educating and sharing exudes through her vibrant personality which is critical in a training environment. 

Linda holds a degree in Applied Psychology and a Master degree in Guidance and Counseling. She is also among a limited pool of trainers who are recognized by Singapore’s Workforce Development Agency to plan, design, and conduct competency-based training and assessments. Her areas of development expertise include leadership effectiveness, customer service, individual performance, problem solving and interpersonal communication skills.

Currently, Linda’s research effort has been focused on assisting organizations develop innovative and practical strategies for improved workplace performance, especially in the areas of leadership development and customer service. She is instrumental in applying her in-depth knowledge and talent in Adult Learning Psychology to design and develop learning interventions that are both effective and engaging.

Armed with an in-depth understanding of Psychology, Linda is also effective in conducting counseling and coaching sessions to help individuals tackle their workplace challenges and improve their performance. During such sessions, she consistently helps individuals to identify their problem areas, overcome blind spots and develop new perspectives in their work.

Clients have often commented on her creative approach in training, which makes learning highly effective and fun. Linda sees herself as a facilitator and conducts her program in a highly interactive manner by injecting role-plays, discussions, presentations and games in her training.
