Coffee lovers and those who might be keen on joining the F&B industry, or even starting their own cafe. For anyone who is looking to acquire foundation barista and brewing skills in specialty coffee. No prior experience or prerequisites are necessary.
This course is offered as a blended learning course - students will be expected to complete a 3-hour E-learning theory module followed by 2.5 full days of practical in-person class taught in the Academy. The course is available on weekdays (full-time class)
or on consecutive Saturdays (part-time class).

Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be equipped with the knowledge and application skills in providing specialty coffee service and be competent in:
- Describing and recommending coffee products
- Grinding and brewing coffee
- Preparing and serving espresso
- Preparing and serving cappuccino and latte
Outline
PRE-CLASS (3 Hours) - E-learning
DAY 1 (9 AM - 5.30 PM) - On site
- CE1: Describe and Recommend Coffee Products
- CE2: Grind and Brew Coffee
- Assessment 2 (30 min)
DAY 2 (9 AM - 5.30 PM) - On site
- CE3: Prepare and Serve Espresso
- CE4: Prepare and Serve Cappuccino and Latte
DAY 3 (9 AM - 1.30 PM / 1.30 PM - 6 PM) - On site
- Espresso Practise
- Assessment 1 (30 mins) & 3 (60 mins)
