The 2-day course introduces the overview of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), the process an organisation could adopt to comply with the act, and identify possible areas of non-compliance. 
Participants will also learn how to develop a process for handling complaints and breaches, as well as get their organisation started in fulfilling their obligations under the PDPA.
The course will be conducted using the PDPA BM WSQ Standard Curriculum and Standard Assessment developed by PDPC.

  • Overview of the PDPA and Key Terms
  • Data Protection Provisions - The 9 obigations
  • Do Not Call (DNC) Registry Scope and Operations Rules
  • Role of Data Protection Officer
  • Create an Inventory Map for effective data management
  • Develop a process for handling complaints and non-compliance
  • Effective training and communication plan for staff

Assessment & Certificate 
Upon successfully completion, participants will receive a WSQ Statement of Attainment.
