The Kapap Executives/ Ladies and Youth Programme is an easy and basic introduction to the world of personal protection using realistic hand to hand combat skills. This is our best selling series, and is popular with individuals who want to get up to speed
in self defense skills in a relatively short period of time (about 20 to 40 hours of training).
Executives and ladies from a wide range of occupations from multinationals, government bodies and private sector organisations have gone through this programme series.
The Kapap Executives/ Ladies/ Youth Personal Protection Programme is designed in 10 different modules. Each lesson (2 hours per lesson) is modular with different topics. For example, one lesson could be on knife defense, while another could be on how to defend yourself on the ground. These topics are independent of each other and you do not need to progress through the programme in any fixed sequence.

Teo Yew Chye
Chief Instructor / Founder, Kapap Academy (Singapore)
Teo Yew Chye is a qualified Psychologist and also a martial artist for over 30 years. Having received formal training in Taekwondo (blackbelt), Savate, Wing Chun, Dynamic Combat Method, SAMBO, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and Kapap. Kapap is the original hand-to-hand combat used by top Israeli Special Forces. He is a certified instructor in Dynamic Combat Method, SAMBO, Gracie Jiu-jitsu and Kapap. Yew Chye is the Chief Instructor and the official representative for Kapap in Singapore, China/ Hong Kong and Taiwan. He is the highest ranking kapap instructor in Asia (kapap level 4), and the Founder of Kapap Academy Singapore. Yew Chye was the first in Asia Pacific to be awarded the Gracie Instructorship in August 2009, and the official representative of the world’s top grappling school, Gracie Academy (US) for Singapore.
In Jan 2012, Kapap Academy Singapore became the first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school in Asia to be awarded membership with the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation. Yew Chye is also the personal student of one of America’s top catch wrestlers, Tony Cecchine (www.catchwrestle.com). In 2011, Yew Chye became the first Asian to be certified as an Instructor by the world’s largest gun ownership group, the National Rifle Association - in pistol, Personal Protection in the Home, Rifle and Shotgun, and as a Safety Range Officer.
He is also a certified Executive Bodyguard by the co-founders of Modern Kapap, Colonel Chaim Peer and Major Avi Nardia. Yew Chye is also the co-founder/ President of the Kapap Federation Asia – the regional organization set up to establish and maintain standards for the practice and development of Kapap throughout Asia. During his national service/ reservist, Yew Chye was a Company 2IC with an operational unit, 3 Singapore Infantry Regiment and has served as a battalion staff officer as deputy S1 (Manpower) and deputy S2 (Intelligence) as well.
