Our Acting 101 one-day workshop offers you a broad-based and experiential insight to the immersive actor training, techniques and systems taught at HCAC in other in-depth workshops. This workshop will cover these topics:
Focus: Building a stronger mental and physical self-awareness, the 5 Stages of Focus
Observation: Maximising the use of our five senses, how it helps to build presence, understanding, empathy, experience and creativity
Preparation: Methods to prepare yourself physically, mentally and psychologically regardless of the task at hand
Specificity: Being deliberate in thought and action
This highly interactive workshop equips individuals with useful life skills that are applicable to both actors and non-actors alike.

Founded by Kamil Haque in 2013, the Haque Centre of Acting & Creativity (HCAC) is an acting school. HCAC is one of the companies under Method Metropolis, an umbrella group focusing on arts, entertainment, and education.
HCAC, is the home of Method Acting in Asia. It is the first professional acting school in English in Singapore. Regardless of your background, training and experience, the training caters to actors and non-actors from as young as 13 years old. The multi-approach training includes acting fundamentals, techniques and specific skill sets of the actor’s craft to add depth and breadth to your method of acting.
Located on the edge of the Little India Arts Belt in Singapore, the HCAC studio is nestled in a conservation shop house - A creative home and safe haven for students to hone their craft, build a network and free their talent.
