Using the curriculum from the Massage in Schools Association that originated the UK, the MISP Children's Massage Programme is a comprehensive course for parents and teachers to gain a new perspective on how positive touch and movement is crucial in the lives and learning process of children in the modern society.

Just by living in this modern world, we face high levels of stress. Stress, if not balanced out properly, will inhibit much of our sensory intake and the learning process is completely shut down.  Positive and respectful touch has a direct impact on the reduction of stress levels in our bodies. The MISP Massage Routine that takes not more than 15 minutes per day will teach children to settle down in their bodies, calm their reptilian brain and enter into a state of engaged learning, at the same time encouraging their imagination.

The rise of digital devices have also reduced the frequency of movement in children these days. Instead of playing and running outdoors like in the past, children are increasingly glued to televisions and handheld devices for long periods of time. This lack of movement at an early age affects the development of hearing, speech, coordination, concentration, reading and writing. Crucial capabilities to establish for school going children! Unfortunately, we are seeing more and more children with special/additional needs, learning delays, ADD, ADHD, etc. The movement aspect of the course will give you ideas on how to engage children who need to MOVE to learn through the use of touch games and movement activities. You will learn how to use balls to teach mathematics, you will learn how to create touch or movement activities for science and geography lessons.

This programme is for children ages 4 to 12 years old.  If you are a parent or a teacher working with children in this age range, join us at our 2 day course! We are sure you will find it an enriching process.

We are a leading provider of trainings, classes and resources in the area of positive touch and relaxation. Our products and services provide you with tools to manage physical, emotional, mental health and wellbeing.

Our sense of touch is the very first sense that we develop and the last sense we lose before we leave this world. We use it in our daily lives more than we realise.  It affects our ability to think, feel, communicate, socialise, connect and live.  It is very important that we have a positive relationship with our sense of touch!

We work with families with babies, children, teenagers, adults in the workplace and the elderly to help them experience and introduce positive and nurturing touch into their lives through our 3 programmes.

Touch is essential at all stages of life.  Our aim is to help everyone be "comfortable in their skin"!
