The program also provides extended learning opportunities for persons previously or currently employed in related professions.
The learners will study and analyse,
- Check/Restore/Change HVAC-related electrical components
- Know the components that constitute Residential and Commercial Air Conditioning
- High and low voltage control circuits
- Basic heat transfer relationships
- Prepare and interpret basic electrical, mechanical and piping drawings
- Air Conditioning design, including air filtration, humidity control and load calculations
- Perform maintenance and inspections on gas and electric heating systems
- Test and diagnose components, systems, and accessories
- Designing duct system

Under the Private Education Act legislated in December 2009, a Committee for Private Education (CPE) was set up to regulate the private education industry in Singapore. The Private Education Act prescribes a clear line of accountability for the conduct and practices of PEIs. A PEI is required to set up an Academic Board and an Examinations Board with at least three members each.
