Pop Vocal (Group / Individual)
A certificate of accomplishment will be awarded upon the completion of each level.
Beginner 1 & 2:
Master fundamentals such as: Increase breathe capacity, power & control; relax physical tension to prevent hoarseness & increase stamina; expansion of high / low range; improve pitch accuracy, sense of timing & phrasing.
- Introduction - Correct mental attitude & body posture.
- Understanding the physiology of larynx, acquire correct breathing technique & resonance.
- Develop good voice projection, range extension, rhythmic skills and relative pitching.
- Basic theory development e.g. music definitions.
Intermediate 1 & 2:
Understanding harmony singing and different style of songs. Effectively plan and execute singing techniques according to the song requirement. Gain comfort singing to backing tracks with groove.
- Strengthen Breathing technique & refine body posture.
- Develop pitch & rhythm accuracy.
- Explore tone variety & different song interpretations.
- Introduction to singing techniques for different styles:
- Rhythm & Blues, Ballad, Jazz.
- Introduce more scales, riffs & harmony singing.
Advanced 1 & 2:
Gain comfort singing with mics & backing tracks; Move & feel comfortably in singing different styles of songs; able to perform basic harmonization.
*Practice studio recording & find the best sound; develop individual singing characteristics & be able to perform professionally in public.
- Establish professional singing routines - advanced scales & riff exercises.
- Master mental as well as emotional focus & stamina.Master singing communication skills to develop interactivity.
- Work on refining voice projection, tone, sense of rhythm & proper microphone techniques.
- Further explore different musical styles & harmony singing.
- Develop stage presentation and body language.
- Develop singing characteristics and strengthen professional performing skills.
