Mandarin for Adults - Agape School of Education Language Studies
Are you accompanying a family member who has been posted to China? The move may be easier if you equip yourself with some Mandarin and knowledge of the Chinese culture beforehand. Or perhaps you’d like to surprise your Mandarin-speaking friends with a few words of Chinese. Agape School of Education will help you with your needs through our Mandarin language lessons. Our dedicated teachers will further assist you by imparting knowledge of cultural norms, allowing you to easier navigate your interpersonal relationships without fear or handicap

Outline

This course provides participants with Mandarin speaking skills necessary to communicate and integrate confidently into a Mandarinspeaking environment. Upon completion of the course, participants should understand spoken Mandarin, be able to carry out discussions with coworkers and friends and communicate effectively in formal and informal settings. Mandarin Beginner 1, 2, 3 & 4 focus on phonetics, pronunciation and the essential grammar and vocabulary needed to understand the language and to carry out simple dialogues. In Mandarin Intermediate 1, 2, 3 & 4 there is a further development of topics learnt in the previous levels. At this stage, the participants develop fluency through conversational practice, a continued emphasis on pronunciation and the teaching of grammar and additional vocabulary. Conversational practice is carried out through a variety of realistic and achievable exercises and participants will have the opportunity for group interaction and discussion. All courses are run in a relaxed setting and the class sizes are kept small.
