English for Children

Getting a child to love reading and writing is something that we are extremely passionate about. Whether our students are 4 years old and learning their phonics or are 14 and getting to grips with Shakespeare for the first time, our teachers will help them enjoy their lessons and develop a true love for the written word.

English for children lessons at The Language Boutique are completely flexible and can take place at any time and location that is most convenient for the student. Our teachers can take classes between 9am and 9pm Monday – Friday and until 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Minimum lesson time is 1 hour and they are sold in packages of 10, giving our students the flexibility to take as many lessons as they want per week.

All our English for children lessons are created to align with the curriculum that the student is following at school – be it the British, American, Australian or Singaporean system. For our young learners, we create a healthy balance of reading and writing with energetic games and arts and crafts. We incorporate the internationally acclaimed Oxford Reading Tree and Jolly Phonics materials while also using additional materials from our extensive library and activity resources. For primary and secondary students, we provide support in assignments and exam preparation with a strong focus on comprehension, vocabulary building, critical thinking, essay writing and literacy skills.

All our teachers are highly qualified and have the necessary experience to be able to deliver interactive and fun lessons while pushing their students to reach their learning goals. We are happy to offer additional support through direct communication with your child’s schoolteacher or learning support team in order to ensure that we are tutoring in line with their school programme. Structured progress reports are also available on request.
