The Diploma in Logistics Management course equips students with the knowledge and practical techniques of contemporary logistics and supply management, as well as the knowledge and practices in business disciplines, such as economics, law, accounting, and business planning and operations that are relevant in modern business organisations. Students are required to undertake a Research Project that focuses on industry best practices in a specialised of purchasing and materials management.
Course Structure & Duration
This part-time course is conducted over 3 trimesters and can be completed in 12 months. The course is intensive and requires students to attend classroom lectures 2 to 3 times in a week. Students in this course are expected to put in reasonable amount of efforts to graduate from the programme.
Faculty & Mode of Delivery
Our teaching faculty are highly experienced practitioners with accredited academic qualifications and professional competence. This course is 100% face-to-face lecture. The mode of delivery is mainly classroom lectures and case discussions. The Project module comprises class sessions in phases where students are guided to work on an approved project until completion. Students are expected to make use of relevant websites and the internet for purposes of learning and research.
Attendance & Assessment
Attendance is monitored regularly and unless approved, students must achieve a minimum overall attendance of 75% to be eligible for the end-of-trimester examinations. Students are assessed based on written assignments and an examination towards the end of the study period. In the Project Module, each student is assessed based on a presentation and submission of a research report.
