OVERVIEW
The rate of change facing organizations has never been greater – changing political landscapes and policies, fragmented customer needs, demographic changes in the labor force, rapid pace of technological changes, increased global and regional competition – and as a country with limited resources, the implications and impact is even far reaching. In these uncertain times, the need for HR role to evolve is getting more pressing. Human resource professionals can no longer afford to be just administrators. They have to evolve from being purely administrative to a more pro-active role as a strategic advisor.
In this context, HR as a strategic advisor is responsible for attracting, aligning and retaining the right resources to support business objectives. They also serve as a consultant on human resources-related issues and lead as an employee champion and be a change agent by anticipating future talent requirement that is critical for the success of the organization.

- Identify the difference between strategic vs tactical thinking and its impact on business
- Adopt strategic HR views and apply strategic HRM
- Apply 6-step process of providing strategic HR advice
- Establish business needs in consultation with key stakeholders
- Develop customized HR interventions aligned to strategic goals
- Identify risks and implications of customized HR interventions
- Conduct action planning with key stakeholders
- Coach key stakeholders on implementation
- Conduct post implementation review to assess effectiveness and impact of interventions
