10:30am to 12:30pm

Price: $32 per child

Recommended Age Group: 6 - 12

Children are natural gardeners and designers. However small, a garden is a special world to them. This creative gardening workshop will give kids meaningful hands-on-time with a focus on observation - leading them to new discoveries, experiences and questions about nature and their sense of place in the urban ecological web. At this workshop children will learn how to design and create a Wicking Garden. As they design and create their very own DIY wicking garden with a sub irrigation watering system, they will learn about water as a precious resource, some fun and easy “kid friendly” composting and grow edibles within the context of the urban environment.

Kindly note that you will need to purchase an admission ticket if you wish to stay at the Children’s Centre for Creativity after 1pm.
