BCM-8530: ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management Lead Auditor

This is an advanced level ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS) Audit course with a 150-Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) based examination, following the successful completion of the course. This workshop is primarily designed for senior BCM professionals with audit responsibilities, system auditors and /or lead auditors to conduct audit/ assessments based on the ISO22301 Business Continuity Management System. As a qualified BCM Auditor or Lead Auditor, he or she is to decide on behalf of the clients on the compliance and effectiveness of the audited organisation’s business continuity management system in meeting ISO22301 requirements. Participants who successfully attended the workshop and successfully completed the certification examination (with a 75% passing score) on the morning of the 5th day will be able to apply for certification as Business Continuity Certified Lead Auditor (BCCLA).

The course would be conducted between Monday to Thursday at Rendezvous Hotel while the Qualifying BCCLA exam to be taken on Friday at BCM Institute's office at Ubi Road 1.

• Undestand Business Continuity Management (BCM) fundamentals and concepts
• Map the ISO 22301 BCMS requirements and its applicability to an organisation
• Walkthrough each implementation phase of the BCM planning methodology
• Define scope of BCMS and be conversant with the DO component of the PDCA cycle

• Have a good understanding of the ISO 22301 BCMS and its requirements
• Understand the BCMS audit process aligned to the ISO 19011:2011
• Acquire the principles and practices of a BCMS internal audit
• Equip with skill, knowledge and tools to plan, control and manage internal audits
• Prepare for certification audit and its documentation

• Develop a specialised ISO 22301 standards-based program to audit against requirements
• Collect audit evidence and conduct site audit
• Determine the non-conformities of BCMS requirement
• Write non-conformiity audit report
• Conduct review on the key elements of a live BCMS

• Gain the necessary knowledge to prepare for an external audit
• Able to conduct a pre-audit/opening and exit/closing meeting
• Conduct in-dept review on the key elements of a live BCMS
• Know the areas for follow up and corrective actions after the audit
• Formulate audit findings and document non-conformities

March 2017 class participants would also be able to attend the World Continuity Congress 2017 for free on 26 April 2017. They will be able to mingle and network with regional BCM and Crisis Management professionals and be updated on the latest trends and best practices in the industry.
