Occupational First Aid

This SSG approved / SFC eligible accredited course is a mandatory training course for personnel involved in providing Occupational First Aid. It is aimed to train individuals to render first-aid treatment to the casualty during an emergency or accident in the workplace until more advanced medical assistance can be obtained.

• Explain the duties and responsibilities of First Aider
• List the legal requirements under Workplace Safety and Health (First Aid) Regulations 2006 Reg.5 (2) for the workplace
• Check and pack contents of First Aid Box
• Apply first aid to accident victims in the workplace
• Manage a medical emergency at the workplace
• Manage victims of hazardous chemical exposure
• Identify common workplace accidents requiring first aid treatment

• First Aid requirements in factories and other workplaces
• First Aid Management of Wounds, bleeding, and shock
• First Aid Management of Fractures and soft tissues injuries
• Handling and transportation of the injured
• Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) & use of AED
• First Aid Management of Breathing difficulties
• First Aid Management of the unconscious patient
• First Aid Management of Occupational eye injuries
• First Aid Management of Burn injuries
• First Aid Management of Industrial toxicology
