This specialised programme develops students in their appreciation for the evolution of filmmaking as well as its influence on today’s film industry. Students will receive hands-on-training across the key disciplines of filmmaking, including the preproduction, production, as well as postproduction processes.
Focusing on the process of making a film, from an initial story idea or commission, through scriptwriting, shooting, editing, directing and distribution to an audience. They will learn and participate in the production of a wide range of filmmaking projects collaboratively, as well as individually.

Established in 2005, First Media Design School (FMDS) started off as a passion project for Principal, Mark Phooi, who transited his career as a designpreneur to pursue his lifelong goal as an educator.
